Do you create custom invitations or just the ones on your website?
We specialize in custom designed invitation sets for each couple. Bring your ideas or we can come up with the ideas for you. Please see the "Process" link to learn how it works! However if you see an invitation that you like from the gallery on the website, we can recreate that for you as well!
Can I order just a monogram? How does it work? Yes, you can order your own custom designed monogram without having to buy invitations. I will design between 1-5 different mongrams for you and e-mail them to you in JPEG format. You can then use them on your do-it-yourself invitations, programs, or whatever else you want! Prices start at just $9.99!
How much do the invitations cost?
Because each piece is unique, prices will vary upon which invitation style you choose. The cost of each set depends on the materials used, the type of paper, amount of ink, types of embellishments, ect. Most wedding sets with pocketfolds are between $4.00-$6.00 which includes the invitation, response card and direction card. . Sets without a pocketfold or with simpler designs can be less expensive. When you contact us with your specific needs, we will provide you with a quote .
Will you work within our budget? Yes! We are willing to work with you to create the perfect invitation that will meet your budget...big or small. If you see a design you like that is out of your budget, we can find ways to help cut the cost and still work for you. Let us know what you’ve budgeted for your invitations, and we’ll do our best to create your dream invitation for a price that your budget.
What is included in the invitation set? Typically, each invitation set includes the complete design, full invitation with a pocketfold, the response card (in the form of a postcard or regular card) and a direction card. Additional inserts may be added for a small fee.
If I like parts of one invitation and pieces of another can we combine them?
Sure! Each invitation is customizable and we can find the aspects of different invitations to create one that is perfect for you!
Can I buy separate pieces of the invitation ensemble, such as just the maps, or do I have to buy the whole ensemble? Usually we sell the invitations in sets, which include the invite, response and map cards. However, if you are interested in just one piece, we are happy to accommodate you. You may e-mail for a price quote.
Do you offer free samples? To keep our overhead expenses low, we unfortunately are usually not able to offer free samples. When you choose to use us, we require a $40 deposit which will include custom samples of your invitaiton. This $40 will be applied toward you final order.
Is there a minimum order? We can accommodate anything from a small intimate wedding to a grand affair! We have a minimum order of 10 and can work with any other number.
How long will it take to get the invitations made?
Generally it takes 3-6 weeks for each invitation order to be complete. When you place your order you will be given an estimated and a guaranteed time of delivery. Rush orders may be available...please inquire.
When should I order my invitations? We appreciate plenty of notice, especially for custom work. You should usually begin the design process around 5-6 months before your wedding. The design and assembly should take around 3-6 weeks, then you will need time to address and send them out, which you should do 6-8 weeks prior to your wedding. If you have a rush order we may be able to accommodate.
How do I choose what type of invitation I should get? There are many factors to consider when designing your invitation. This can include formality, theme, colors, style, ect. We are more than willing to help you choose the type that would be the best fit for your wedding.
Where is Event-ations located? We are located in the owner, Angela Walker's, home office in Eureka California, but we ship nationwide.
I do not live in the area and can not come in for an appointment, can I still create a custom design over the internet?
Absolutely. Almost all of our clients are not local to our area and we never meet them. We provide service through e-mail, phone and mailing proofs so that the experience will be comfortable and easy for you.
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, check or money orders. Ask us about PayPal! Starting In August we will be accepting Paypal.
